Bio
Professor Martin Lawoko is a researcher in wood chemistry and related processes at KTH, Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden. His main focus is Lignin chemistry with emphasis on both fundamental understanding and material development. He has contributed to methodologies for lignin structure analysis, lignin biorefining and valorization of lignin to thermosets. He has published more than 100 peer reviewed manuscripts. His interests include development of scalable processes for lignin production and bio-derived resins. He is a co-founder of a spin-off company, Ligolin AB, that produces bio-based resins.
Besides research, he is also lecturer in several courses at the university at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
